If your student is marked UA (Unexcused) for one period only during a day, that is often the result of the student legitimately being in another location during that period, but the teacher does not know that, and therefore marks the student absent. It may take a day or two to clear up these single-period UA's. If the student is not assigned In-School Suspension (IS) within a day or two, you can assume that the issue was resolved.
